Who we are

Hi, I'm Gavin Spielman — artist, woodworker, and founder of Green Pine Woodworks, based in the Catskills. What started as a creative side project turned into something I deeply care about: making simple, beautiful, and functional objects from wood that people actually want to live with.

I come to woodworking from a background in painting and music, so I tend to approach each item with an artistic eye. Everything here is made by hand, one piece at a time — no mass production. I work mostly with sustainably sourced hardwoods and use my own blend of bees wax and mineral oil in all my finishes.

Over the years, I’ve built everything from cutting boards and furniture to custom commissions. Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, something to bring warmth into your kitchen, or a piece that will last for generations — I hope you find something here that resonates.
