From the Mountains of Upstate New York

My love for nature knows no bounds. Being an oil painter led me to paint in the tradition of Thomas Cole, and Frederick Church, often plein aire, often in the woods upstate, As a naturalist painter, the trees have always been the main compositional counterpoint to my pieces (www.gavinart.com), eventually using the local wood to produce my frames. A self taught woodworker, I started to make furniture and gifts for family, which slowly became Green Pine Woodworks!

You can find my work in Margarettville NY at the Catskill Artisan Guild, etsy and of course right here! I am a one man shop, excited to bring you the best woodworking, all done with love.

  • Have something in mind to create but dont have a shop? Ask me about a custom design! I’ll work with you to create exactly what you are looking for.

  • We also do laser, and can monogram your board for an extra charge.
